When selecting play equipment for your family to enjoy in your back yard of the house a primary worry for many caring parents is safety and how they can go about limiting the possibility for accidents. For some toys such as a cubby house won’t need too much safety thought as they are relatively safe pits of apparatus and there is no risk from falling or moving parts as they tend to be positioned on the ground. As a generally rule though, the majority of these tips can be applied to all equipment that you have in your garden for your children to play on.

When looking at buying a wooden bit of apparatus like climbing frames of swing sets then you will want to make sure that the item has a 10 year guarantee that covers all rot and insect infection. Pressure treated timber is also highly recommended as it will help to prevent fungal infection, a non-toxic chromium / cadmium / arsenic solution will be safe for your kids and wont kill them.. Generally any wooden structure that you are buying for your kids should be solid, go for climbing frames with substantial timber sections and make sure that the wood is finished without any sharp edges and that nuts and bolts are recessed.

Checking over the equipment regularly is also important, check for instability and parts that are going to perish or rust. Positioning the apparatus in the correct position will also help to keep your kids safe, swings will need about 2.5 meter of clearance both back and front. To prevent your kids from gaining access to undesirable areas, climbing frames and trampolines should be positioned carefully with at least 3 meters of clearance around them to prevent further climbing opportunities . Finally, make sure you lay down some ground rules for your children and make it very clear that if they break the rules they won’t be able to play on the equipment.

Tips On Averting Bullying Towards Your Child

It’s important to remember that as parents, we should closely monitor our kids. We happen to talk about these parenting stuffs with my colleague, another ultrasound technician during a lunch break. She asked me if I am an overprotective or overbearing parent and if I have tips or suggestions if a child is being bullied or teased at school because their child won’t talk about it and they are worried about what would be the effect this may bring to their child. I understand and feel sympathy for her because it is not really easy to have career parents in which days are always busy and schedules are hectic. Aside from being an ultrasound tech, we are also just normal parents caring for our children’s future. That’s why I try my best to spend time with my children, enjoying moments throughout that day. Because of my good ultrasound technician salary, I can grant some of the things my kids want like gadgets or cell phones. Through this way, we can have a strong parent-child relationship and as a result they can freely talk to us anything what happen in their school or just simple things like what happened today. I also plan using my ultrasound technician salary to register them all in insurance in order for us to prepare their future. I also find support from our Professor over family lives back in my college which is one of the best ultrasound technician schools. The Professor not only taught us professional knowledge in the field of ultrasound sonography, but also gave us advices and tips about the incident of bullying between kids. Due to the exponential amount of bullying that has been experienced by children nationwide, the news has shown hundreds of stories on this terrible phenomenon. Obviously, we cannot watch our kids every minute of the day, though we also want them to be safe and protected. What we can do, however, is talk to them, give them advice, and help them prepare for the possibility of experiencing bullying in their lives.

Being a good role model for your kids is no certainty that they won’t get bullied, but it’s a good start. When children see people treating each other with respect, both in and out of the home, it helps them develop a healthy sense of self esteem. Make sure no type of bullying occurs in the home, such as between siblings or between you and your spouse, no matter how subtle. Encouraging your kids to be confident and to speak their minds whilst still respecting other people’s rights is something you should do. You should try and show your kids how to be respectful to everyone when you’re out in public, while still standing up for your rights when it’s needed. Self confident children will be less likely to be bullied, even though bullying can happen for various reasons.

A good way to protect your kids is to teach them self defense, or have them enroll in a martial arts class so that they can learn. Simply suggest this type of training to your child, and never force them if they are not ready. This isn’t to encourage them to fight, but to make them confident enough that they won’t be a target. Bullies are looking for easy marks, and someone who knows how to defend themselves doesn’t fit this profile.

Victims of bullying are often children who lack confidence and may be socially isolated. You can help your children learn how to deal with such situations by involving them in programs that cause them to interact in a sociable manner. Kids that take swimming lesson or learn another sport can definitely benefit from this type of socializing. Socializing, along with adult supervision, is an atmosphere that is usually not conducive to bullying of any kind. A definite confidence builder, these types of social environments promote positive social skills that will last a lifetime. It is important that your kids have an interest in the activity that they will be doing. Bullying is a widespread problem, but that doesn’t mean you have to tolerate it when it comes to your child. As research shows, bullying can have far reaching effects on a child’s life that extend into adulthood. Taking the right measures must be done if you see any signs that your child is a bully, or is the victim of bullying.
